solely from a competitors side multi stage.
reasons
1 more variety, the mud of archallegan to the gravel / stone of Glion Gill, the steep hill of ballaugh etc etc
2 more of a challenge on man/lady & machine
3 more chance of joe public seeing the car with sponsors stickers on
4 reduces cutting up of individual plantations
5 less hanging around for competitors (and see 2) as stages can be changed around whilst they are at other plantations
6 more fun!

With regards to you point.
If Easter was to be single venue (i.e Conrhenny with Multi Stages) then the TDL in August would go to a Multi Venue.

I thought there was quite a good chance TDL would be a multi forest event, maybe I heard wrong.
I think considering the National is only a few weeks after easter rally then a single venue event would be better, might be worth enquiring into roughly how many people will be entering, as the main problem last year with the TDL was people did not want to change the set up on the car.
I will be there if its single venue or multi, (providing the car is still going after Feb)

My reason for single venue;
Makes life simpler and easier to organise.
Less marshals needed
Less time keepers needed
Less medical cover (saves money)
Less road miles (saves money and insurance cost)
Less plantations used (saves money)
Fewer vehicles on the roads (less TTFMAG involvement)
Less need for a servce crew (who never get to watch anyway!)
It's great to have multi venues but you need multi evrything else to run the event. This then makes your entry more puts more pressure on the organiser etc etc etc
Just my view.
Chris

From a purely personal point of view it has to be multi venue
More interesting, more varied, and dare I say it, more skill required to maintain a good pace on different tracks rather than learning one venue kind of parrot fashion Last single venue I did round Conrhenny I seriously thought about pulling out with a couple of stages to go it had cut up so badly Catching other competitors can also be a major problem, no matter what is said or done, some will not pull over untill they have covered the chasing faster car with everything they can throw at it and when you speak to them it's always the same excuse 'sorry I didn't see you' Easter rally before May rally it's always been that way and always will be unless we can get the Pope or whoever to move Easter, cause we can't move May cause then it would be June! graham collister |

single venue for us.
Reason. As it will be my girlfriends first event as a navigator so less for her to worry about road books and times. Also cheaper for us. If it is a multi venue we will still put an entry in. ![]() |

for me it definately has to be multi stage, it would be great if we could get the easter stages back to what it used to be years ago. if you could drive on stages like south barrule, archallaghan, glion gill, chibhanaugh(not sure on spelling) and ballaugh all in one day it would make a good challenging event and a big achievement to get to the end! |
