Am I right in thinking that the only gravel event to run in 2009 was the multi venue Easter Stages? That kind of answers that one...
(if my memory is right, it could have been the same in '08!). Although I will still be in Australia then, I would personally vote for a multi venue event. More of a challenge for everyone, and that is rallying. A single venue, especially run in the wet with reverse stages creates some pretty big 'berms' that I would think could do damage to both car and the venue its self. Andrew ( from a hot snow free Sydney). |

For those that have stated 'single venue' can you provide your reasons why? Not having a go, just curious.
Can't be Tax as you would need that on any other rally on the island. Can't purely be cost. Rallying has to be one of the most expensive forms of motorsport for a clubman out there, so an extra hundred quid on entry and an extra fifty on fuel (complete guess!) is only a small amount for a days fun. Why limit yourself to 'laps' of rough cut up road, when there are miles of other roads and potentially some long stages in other plantations. |

It will all depend on the wether befor hand! as you don't want stages to be cancelled!!

From a co-driver's point of view, multi venue is a bit more interesting as it gives us more variety.
Also, it gives a chance for stages to be turned around for pm runs whilst we're off at other plantations

Multi in my view would be better because we already have a single venue gravel event later in year,Trade Distribution Stages, although it didn't go ahead i know.
