I personally wouldn't agree,because we're not a company or haven't got a sponsor,just individuals using our own money

No problem at all, thanks for you feedback Andy. This saves a lot of time as we do not need to go through the process now as all would have to agree. We will leave for 2010 and make the rule change in 2011. Unfortunately though that does leave the publicity side of it very much down to who is leading and whether the media are happy to publish it.

So what happens to the likes of us who are not part of a company or don't have a sponsor next year?Would it mean we couldn't enter a team?

Not at all Andy, we will have to work the rules so not to stop people entering a team but allow us to publish in the media.
We may have to have a fun series, we have time to consider this ahead of 2011.

Ok,next year, 'some' of the teams won't be allowed to keep their names because some people don't like what we've called them?I can understand their piont of view,but why haven't we been contacted about the issue?I wouldn't have a problem changing ours just to satisfy the powers above if it means you can publish in the media.Fun element is in short supply these days me thinks

Hi Andy, It is not the powers that be at all and no-one has said they do not like your name. It is just that it is not really printable in the media, local paper etc.... There was a plan to contact all this year but you statement above meant it was not worth asking everyone as you already said you would not agree so it was left at that. There was no need to contact anyone, we just left it at that. Give me a buzz anytime and will have chat with you about it. |
